Jewelry Design I: The Basics of Bead Stringing Sunday, March 11, 11:30AM-1:30PM
The secret to successful bead stringing is in the design. Color, fluidity, and balance combine for something wonderful. In this class Peggy will share valuable tips and ideas gained from her 20 plus years of teaching jewelry design. The finished product for class will be your very own, one-of-a-kind necklace or bracelet. You’ll start by selecting assorted beads from Peggy's bead collection, working around your choice of a focal pendant or charm, arranging the design onto a provided Bead Board. Next, Peggy will teach you how to successfully string your beads keeping in mind necklace length or wrist size, bead size and placement, etc. Then finally, and very important, how to use crimp beads to securely fasten a closure to finish your exquisite work of wearable art! Practical color theory along with visual design balance and assembly integrity are part of all Peggy’s classes. You’ll learn how to trust your style instinct and that anything goes!
$45. Supplies are included in the class fee, (pendant or charm, glass beads, beading line, closure and crimps).
